PUR/PIR roof sandwich panels

Roof sandwich panels offered by REDCOM are used as roofing for industrial and agricultural buildings, also in general building industry. The panels are manufactured in a continuous process, and they consist of freonless PUR/PIR foam which binds two metal faces – the external and the internal one.

External and internal claddings available at REDCOM:

  • Polyester: coating thickness 25 microns – external and internal use, roof cladding layers of good anticorrosive properties.

The following additional claddings are used as external/internal protective layer (on individual order):

  • Stainless steel: specialized material for use in adverse environment conditions , e.g. storage areas and food processing industry, 0,4 to 0,5mm in AISI 304 steel, 320 cut – used as external cladding in roofing.

Parameters of rigid insulation core:

  • coefficient of adhesion to claddings: 0,10 N/mm2
  • compression coefficient at 10% strain: 0,11 N/mm2
  • PUR rigid polyurethane foam of thermal conductivity coefficient Lambda I = 0,022W/m*K, density 40 (+,-) 3kg/m3
  • PIR rigid polyurethane foam of thermal conductivity coefficient Lambda I = 0,020 W/m*K, density 40 (+,-) 3kg/m3 and higher fire-retardant properties.

Load bearing capacity

Deflections must not be larger than 1/200 span between the panel support - taking temporary load into consideration, and 1/100 – taking long-term load into consideration. Determined according to load and span tables, they are subject to linear interpolation.

The means of joining the plates to the supporting structure and the choice of mechanical connectors should be specified in building's technical design. The load per one connector (self-drilling screw) should not exceed 130 daN.
