Both polyurethane and polyisocyanurate core panels are intended mainly for casing of industrial buildings, for refrigeration and food industry. They are also used as an excellent insulating material in general building industry.

PUR and PIR core is created in addition polymerization process. In polyurethane foam, the ratio of polyols to isocyanates is equal, whereas in PIR core the amount of isocyanates is increased at the cost of polyols. The addition of flame retardant makes PIR core far more resistant to fire than PUR. Therefore, PIR core wall panels are suitable for buildings that are subject to higher fire-retardant requirements.   • PUR rigid polyisocyanurate foam of thermal conductivity coefficient
    Lambda I = 0,022W/m*K, density 40 (+,-) 3kg/m3
  • PIR rigid polyisocyanurate foam of thermal conductivity coefficient
    Lambda I = 0,020 W/m*K, density 40 (+,-) 3kg/m3 and increased fire-retardant parameters

Load bearing capacity

Polyurethane sandwich wall panels bear wind, thermal and own load.

Deflections must not be larger than 1/200 span between the panel support - taking temporary load into consideration, and 1/100 – taking long-term load into consideration. Determined according to load and span tables, they are subject to linear interpolation.

The means of joining the plates to the supporting structure and the choice of mechanical connectors should be specified in building's technical design. The load per one connector (self-drilling screw) should not exceed 130 daN.
